After moving to Austin in 2005, Gary formed a partnership with Go Dance's Susan Kirklin.  They began dancing together in 2006 and have already won several competitions.  Gary's passionate love for dancing encompasses teaching, choreography and competing.   A few of his accolades include:

Principal Dancer in the first National tour of the Original Broadway Swing. Eventually became the Dance Capitan.
Director and choreographer of the re-staged version of the Broadway Musical "Swing" in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Featured Performer at the Vail International Dance Festival - 2004
Dance performances in the films "Shall we Dance (2004)".

Choreographer and Dancer in the Academy Award winning "Brokeback Mountain (2005)"

2007 Ohio Star Ball, Professional American Smooth Rising Star - 1st Place
2007 USDC Professional American Smooth Rising Star 2nd Place.

They have won numerous Competitions together and both look forward to this new partnership.


Austin is very lucky to have access to such talent - driven and focused, Gary is a workaholic who tends to put in 8 to 12 hours a day on the dance floor (that's seven days a week, you guys).  He practices for competition 20 to 25 hours a week, and admits to being totally consumed with dance until his retirement from competition.
